The Concourse A Reconstruction project is a transformative initiative designed to enhance operational efficiency and passenger experience at the airport. Key components of the project include:

• Concourse A Redevelopment: Complete demolition and rebuilding of a modern, 16-gate concourse, including associated infrastructure and new passenger boarding bridges.
• North Terminal Enhancements: Expansion of the North Ticketing and Baggage Claim areas, featuring renovated interiors that align with the design of recent BNA Vision Program projects.
• Airside Upgrades: Expansion of the apron to accommodate dual Aircraft Design Group (ADG) III taxi lanes, ensuring improved aircraft maneuverability.
• Utility and Facility Improvements:
  • Extension of the existing utility tunnel.
  • Development of a new Central Utility Plant (CUP) and Cooling Tower facility.
  • Construction of an airside titrator to enhance operational support.
• Selective Demolition and Renovations: Updates to Concourses C and B to facilitate tenant and airline relocations, with interim renovations seamlessly matching existing finishes.
• Landside Enhancements: Surface parking improvements and potential expansion of landside roadways to integrate with the North Terminal extension.

Reaching New Horizons

The BNA New Horizon Program provides terminal expansion, landside improvements and systems improvements for Nashville International Airport.  The major program elements addressed include terminal gate expansion with an extension of Concourse D and a rebuild and expansion of Concourse A, and a major overhaul to the baggage handling system to increase both performance and capacity.
